Groundwork and Good Shepherd Services are joining forces to work with vulnerable children, youth, and families in Brooklyn. Beginning on January  1, 2012, Groundwork’s network of after-school, college preparation, case management and other supportive programs in East New York and Bedford-Stuyvesant came under the management of Good Shepherd Services — a leading youth development, education and family service agency.

FUnder our plan, Groundwork will become part of the Good Shepherd Services’ Brooklyn network of community-based programs.  The programs in central and eastern Brooklyn that children and families have come to trust and rely on will continue under the Groundwork name, while the institutional infrastructure of Good Shepherd Services will offer greater stability as well as the opportunity to provide new and more comprehensive services.
