Groundwork offers a continuum of programming designed to support children and families and strengthen communities. Our programs reach over 2,500 East New York families each year, including: Early Childhood Programs – home-based and site-based programs and activities that prepare infants and toddlers for school and provide a support network to new parents. Groundwork for Youth (GWY) – an after-school and summer academy for elementary and middle school students with a strong focus on literacy instruction; Groundwork for Success (GWS) – a four-year college preparation, youth employment, and leadership development program for high school students; Family Resource Center (FRC) – provides individual, group and family counseling, crisis intervention and family support programs, and; Community Services – a combination of programs that focus on helping residents access vital resources and public benefits. Groundwork is home to one of 40 Single Stop sites around New York City. |
